WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Anderson University women's golf team has qualified for the Medal Match Play round at the NCAA Division II Women's National Championship after completing stroke play with a fifth-place finish among 18 teams. The Trojans, seeded fifth heading into match play, will face No. 4 seed Findlay tomorrow morning in the opening round of bracket competition.
Anderson posted a three-round stroke play total of +53 across rounds of +10, +16, and +27, held May 12–14, 2026. The Trojans entered the championship ranked third nationally and opened with their best round of the week at +10, setting the tone for a competitive performance. Wingate University led the field at +13, followed by Dallas Baptist University at +33 and St. Mary's (TX) and Findlay, who each finished at +45 to claim the third and fourth seeds.
The Trojans have history on their side heading into tomorrow's match. Anderson defeated Findlay by a score of 3-1-1 in this same round of match play a year ago, a result the team will look to replicate as they push deeper into the bracket.
Olivia Roberts led Anderson through stroke play, finishing tied for 15th in the nation with a three-round total of +9 (+2, +1, +6). Aly Francis was close behind, finishing tied for 19th at +10, highlighted by an opening-round score of even par. Olivia Pellerin contributed a tied-for-28th result at +13 (+4, +2, +7), while Kennedy Gooding and Paige Paolucci each finished tied for 74th at +27.
The two teams kick off action at 7:34 tomorrow morning at PGA National Resort, home of the "Bear Trap".
