SALISBURY, N.C. -- The Trojans got back in the win column on Saturday afternoon with a 13-3 win over Catawba College (3-7, 0-4 SAC). Sophomore
Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) hit another career milestone with 100 career ground balls in the win. Anderson moves to 7-5 overall and 4-1 in the South Atlantic Conference with the win.
"I liked our resilience today—finding a way to win on the road says a lot about our group," head coach
Nicole Voci said. "At the same time, we know we have another level, and we're excited to keep pushing toward it."
Six different Trojans got on the board, led by Muir with four goals and sophomore
Ava Scattareggia with a season-high five points.Â
The Catawba Indians scored first before the Trojans answered with a 3-0 run to close the first quarter. Sophomore
Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) scored her first of three goals of the day to open the scoring for Anderson, assisted by Scattareggia. Scattareggia followed up with a goal of her own before Muir scored the third of the day on an assist from junior

Muir scored first in the second quarter and sophomore
Sophie Shortino (Webster, N.Y.)Â added the only other goal of the quarter to put the Trojans up 5-2 at the half.
Catawba scored coming out of the locker room to get within one before the Trojans went on a five goal run to go up 10-3 at the end of the third quarter.Â
Wilkins added two for a hat trick while Muir and Scattareggia scored one each.Â
Redshirt junior
Sophia Santagata (Venice, Fla.) scored her third goal of the season in the third quarter and assisted on one of Wilkins' goals for two points on the day.
Muir and Skeffington rounded out the scoring in the fourth quarter with a goal each while the defense held the Catawba Indians scoreless.
On defense, sophomore
Abigail Metz (Wading River, N.Y.) had a career-high four ground balls and one caused turnover.
Senior
Meredith Dawson (Beavercreek, Ohio) came up with five ground balls and a season-high three caused turnovers.
Muir added three draw controls, three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Freshman
Chloe Jones (Suwanee, Ga.) also added three draw controls.
The Trojans are back home this Wednesday, April 1 when they host Newberry College at 4 p.m.
