RALEIGH, N.C. – Anderson University Men & Women's Track & Field notched two new program records while adding two more NCAA Div. II Outdoor Championship provisional marks at the Raleigh Relays on Thursday and Friday.
Seven Trojans competed this weekend amongst the nation's top NCAA Division I track & field programs at the Raleigh Relays hosted by N.C. State in Raleigh N.C.
On Thursday, senior
Angel Galan (Santa Marta De Tormes, Spain) opened the meet with a personal best and national provisional time of 9:09.73 in the men's 3k steeple to finish 42
nd out of 71 finishers. Senior
Joey Tindale (Rock Hill, S.C.) also notched a new career best finish in the men's 1500m, crossing the line 79th out of 224 with a time of 3:48.07. In the men's 5k, seniors
Spain Vaughan (Greer, S.C.) and
Elliot Dotson (Simpsonville, S.C.) finished 77th and 197th out of 206 with times of 14:19.07 and 15:10.17 respectively.
Day two saw two program records by the Black and Gold. Sophomore
Brayden Anderson (Yakima, Wash.) posted a men's 400m time of 48.21to secure the record and a new personal best finish. The Yakima native finished 40th out of 126 on the track. Junior
Kennedy Roush (Greer, S.C.) followed, setting a new program record in the women's 5k with a PR and national provisional time of 16:52.48 to finish 74th.
