ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University Women's Track & Field junior Maggie Long (Mt. Pleasant, S.C.) has been named the first South Atlantic Conference We Played Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of The Week for the 2026 season as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
 
The Mt. Pleasant native notched a new program record in the women's long jump at the Charlotte 49er Classic with a distance of 5.76m to finish fourth out of 45 jumpers in the field. Long's mark places her first in the 2026 South Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field standings for the event.
