ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans earned a 13-1 win in seven innings over Claflin University (3-17, 0-12 PBC) on Tuesday afternoon to earn their 15th win of the season as they move to 15-8 overall.
The Trojans scored first with four runs in the bottom of the second. The third was scoreless on both sides before Anderson added another four in the fourth and allowed Claflin their lone run of the game.
Anderson scored one in the fifth and sixth inning before ending the game on a
Levi Medford (Canton, N.C.) three-run homer.
The Trojans were led by Medford who went 3-5 at the plate with two runs and four RBIs. He had two home runs on the day.
Braeden Harrison (Spartanburg, S.C.) was 1-2 at the plate with two runs, three RBIs and one triple.
Brooks Mauro (Clemson, S.C.) had one hit in three at bats with two runs, two RBIs and one double.
Myles Denton (Brentwood, Tenn.) had his fifth home run of the season in a 1-2 day at the plate.
Riley Matthews (Waxhaw, N.C.) and
Luke Parsons (Tampa, Fla.) also added two runs each for the Trojans.
Dom Bello (Orlando, Fla.) rounded out the scoring for the Trojans with one run and one RBI.
At the mound,
Brendan Clarke (Barrie, Ontario, Canada) got his second win of the season, pitching a shutout three innings.
The Trojans return to South Atlantic Conference play this weekend when they hit the road for a weekend series with Lenoir-Rhyne on March 13-14.
