ANDERSON, S.C. -- Anderson women's lacrosse earned a 13-9 win over Belmont Abbey (0-1) on Saturday night with six Trojans getting on the board.

Though the Crusaders stayed within one for most of the first half, the Trojans never lost their lead and went on a 7-4 run through the last two quarters to earn the win.
Sophomore
Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) had her third-straight four-goal game as she continues her dominant start to her sophomore season.Â

Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) had five points on the day with her season-high four goals and one assist.Â

Sophie Shortino (Webster, N.Y.) had two goals and two draw controls on the day.

Ava Scattareggia (Latham, N.Y.) came up with four points with one goal and three assists.Â

Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) and junior
Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) rounded out the scoring for the Trojans with one goal each.
Muir was also big on defense with a team-high five ground balls and five draw controls.Â
Senior
Alicia Cannon (Tarzana, Calif.) picked up three draw controls.
Junior goalkeeper
Amelia King (Dacula, Ga.) made three saves and had three ground balls in her first appearance this season.
The Trojans are on the road next week to take on ranked opponent No. 20 Lander on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 4 p.m.
