DEMOREST, Ga. -- The Trojans earned a 7-0 win over nonconference opponent Piedmont University on Tuesday afternoon to maintain their undefeated record as they head into South Atlantic Conference Play.
All three doubles courts earned perfect 6-0 wins with pairs
Alexandria Braithwaite (Oakville Ontario, Canada) and
Grace Weaver (Lake City, S.C.) at court one,
Gigi Sompayrac (Knoxville, Tenn.) and
Kate Johnson (Isle of Palms, S.C.) at court two and
Ensley Collins (Cleveland, Tenn.) and
Mara Opre (Atlanta, Ga.) at court three.Â
Braithwaite earned 6-1 and 6-0 wins at court No. 1.
Ronconi came up with 6-2 and 6-0 wins at court two.
Johnson and Morris had 6-0 and 6-1 wins at courts three and four, respectively.
Junior
Jadyn Koenes (Grand Rapids, Mich.) earned 6-0Â and 6-1 wins in her first appearance of the spring.
Sophomore
Taylor Hendrick (Conway, S.C.) got the wins in her first appearance of the spring with 6-2 and 6-0 victories.
The Trojans are back in action tomorrow when they open South Atlantic Conference play against Lenoir-Rhyne at home at 1 p.m.
