Box Score ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans hosted Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday afternoon in their South Atlantic Conference opener, falling to the Bears 4-0. It was the Trojans' first loss of the 2025-26 season.

The Bears took the doubles point with 6-2 wins at courts one and two. Pairs Grace Weaver (Lake City, S.C.) and Alexandria Braithwaite (Oakville Ontario, Canada) at court one and Gigi Sompayrac (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Kate Johnson (Isle of Palms, S.C.) at court two took the losses while Ensley Collins (Cleveland, Tenn.) and Mara Opre's (Atlanta, Ga.) game at court three remained unfinished. 

Braithwaite battled at the No. 1 position but fell 6-4 and 6-3.

At court two, Sompayrac was in a tiebreak when the match was called. She earned a 6-3 win in the first set before suffering a 2-6 loss in the second.

Collins fell 6-0 and 6-1 at the No. 3 position. 

At court four, Opre fell 6-1 in set one and the second set was left unfinished.

Johnson took 6-2 and 6-3 losses at court five.

Westlyn Morris (Inman, S.C.) battled to a narrow 7-5 loss in set one at the No. 6 position before the match was called and the second set was left unfinished.

The Trojans are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 28 when they take on their second SAC opponent of the season in Lincoln Memorial at 1 p.m.
