ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans took on their third ranked opponent of the season on Tuesday afternoon and fell 14-13 to No. 18 Rollins College in a double overtime thriller. The Trojans move to 4-2 overall with the loss.

Nicole Voci said. "We play top 20 teams like Rollins to prepare us for conference play. That was great experience and only makes us stronger moving forward."
Both teams got off to a slow start with the Tars earning a 2-1 lead by the end of the first quarter. Sophomore
Ava Scattareggia (Latham, N.Y.) opened the scoring for the Trojans in the seventh minute assisted by sophomore
Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.).
The Tars went on a 2-0 run to start the second quarter before the Trojans answered with a 5-0 tear to regain the lead. Junior
Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) scored a consecutive hat trick in three minutes of play followed by sophomore
Sophie Shortino (Webster, N.Y.) who put one away off the ball from sophomore
Abigail Metz (Wading River, N.Y.) with her first career assist.
Rollins added two more before sophomore
Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) notched her first two of the day within 15 seconds of each other in the final two minutes of the half. The two teams went into halftime tied 7-7.
Things slowed down in the third quarter with Rollins winning it 3-2. Skeffington and Wilkins both added a goal to the tally.
Muir tied things up for the Trojans at 10 to start the fourth quarter assisted by Wilkins.
Wilkins added her fourth of the day on an assist from Shortino in the fourth minute to tie things up again at 11. Both teams went on a nine scoring drought before Skeffington added her fifth of the day to put the Trojans up. They went back and fourth with Wilkins scoring the final for the Trojans with 49 seconds to play before the Tars answered with 17 seconds left. They got the golden goal with five seconds to play in the second overtime period.
The Trojans won the draw 17-12 and went 18-21 in clears. Graduate
Rory Turner (Haverford, Pa.) came up with six saves and three ground balls.
Muir picked up a season-high eight draw controls to go along with her two points. Wilkins added three draw controls and three caused turnovers. Freshman
Chloe Jones (Suwanee, Ga.) had a career-high four draws. Junior
Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) picked up three ground balls with three caused turnovers and three draw controls.
The Trojans get back to South Atlantic Conference play on Saturday, Feb. 28 when they host Tusculum for the Morgan's Message game at 1 p.m.
