Eleven Trojans Score In 18-5 Win Over Tusculum

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans earned a decisive 18-5 win over Tusculum University (2-2, 0-1 SAC) on Saturday afternoon to move to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the SAC. Eleven different Trojans scored, led by sophomore Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) and junior Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) with a hat trick each.

"That was a great team win," head coach Nicole Voci said. "Our Morgan's Message game is always one that the team looks forward to. We played for each other today. We had 11 different goal scorers, dominated on the draws, and brought the energy on the sideline."

The Trojans opened with an explosive 10-0 first quarter. Freshman Rian Compagnon (Oakville, Ontario) scored her first career goal in the ninth minute. Muir, sophomore Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) and sophomore Sophie Shortino (Webster, N.Y.) put away two in the first while Skeffington, sophomore Ava Scattareggia (Latham, N.Y.) and junior Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) added one.

Anderson won the second quarter 4-1 to go into the halftime break 14-1. Skeffington finished her hat trick to open the scoring followed by freshman Chloe Jones (Suwanee, Ga.) on an assist from junior Jerianne Morris (New Port Richey, Fla.). Freshman Alannah Bowling (Richmond Hill, Ga.) scored her first career goal followed by junior Emery Robson (Marietta, Ga.) with her first goal of the season.

Bowling opened the scoring for the Trojans in the third quarter with her second career goal. Senior Megan Cann (Rancho Murieta, Calif.) buried her first goal of the season on an assist from Scattareggia.

Skeffington and Muir both completed their hat tricks in the fourth quarter as the Trojans sealed the deal.

As a team, the Trojans won the draw 21-5, the most draw controls the team has picked up since 2024. They picked up 14 ground balls and came up with five saves and had 21 shots on goal.

On top of her five points, Muir picked up a season-high eight draw controls with one ground ball and two caused turnovers.

Toole came up with three draw controls and two ground balls.

Bowling came in and picked up a career-high five draw controls in her third appearance with the Trojans.

The Trojans are back in action next Saturday, March 7 when they take on Mars Hill on the road at 12 p.m.
