MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. -- The Trojans earned a 10-4 win over the University of Mount Olive (1-2) on Saturday afternoon in their fourth straight victory as they move to 4-1 on the season.

"Today was a good defensive battle," head coach Nicole Voci said. "Another win on the road!"

The Trojans held Mount Olive to one goal per quarter with 26 shots to their 21. They converted 10 of their 15 shots on goal and won the draw 11-4.

Sophomore Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) had four goals on the day and opened the scoring for the Trojans in the 5th minute assisted by sophomore Megan Muir (Bedford N.H.).

Wilkins added her second late in the first quarter on an assist from junior Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) to put the Trojans up 2-1 going into the second quarter.

The Trojans went on a 4-0 run to start the second quarter with senior Alicia Cannon (Tarzana, Calif.) starting the run. Junior Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) scored two back-to-back to extend the lead to 5-1 before Wilkins got her hat trick on an assist from Cannon.

Junior Jerianne Morris (New Port Richey, Fla.) had two goals in the third quarter from Cannon and Muir. Wilkins had her final goal of the day in the third quarter as well.

The teams tied 1-1 in the final quarter with Skeffington scoring the final goal of the day for her second hat trick of the season.

Muir came up with a season-high seven draw controls and five ground balls. She forced three draw controls.
