ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans battled it out with the No. 9 team in the nation in Coker University (12-1, 7-0 SAC) on Wednesday night as the Cobras remain undefeated in the conference. Anderson moves to 5-8 overall and 1-6 in conference play.

After the Cobras scored first, the Trojans held a comfortable lead for the entire game until the fourth quarter which Coker won 22-11.Â
The Trojans went up by as many as six in the first quarter before the Cobras tied things up at 17. Anderson went on a 7-0 run to close to go into the second quarter up 24-17.Â
Anderson opened the second quarter on an 8-2 run and went into halftime with a comfortable 38-29 lead. They were up by as many as 13 with one minute to play in the first half.
Coker won the third quarter 13-12 but the Trojans still held an eight point lead going into the final ten minutes. Â
The Cobras had their best scoring run of the game of eight in the final quarter, which they won 22-11. The Trojans were up 61-60 with two minutes to play before the Cobras scored, followed by a Trojan foul to regain possession and put the game away with 22 seconds left 64-61.
As a team, the Trojans shot 35.8 percent from the field and 76.5 percent from the line. The Cobras shot 43.9 percent from the field, 23.5 percent from deep and 83.3 percent from the line. Coker had the edge on the boards 39-37.Â
It was a game of pressure as the Trojans forced the most turnovers Coker had given up this season with 28. They had 15 steals and 25 points off turnovers.Â
The Trojans were led by graduate student
Ciara Harris (Alexandria, Va.) with 16 points and a season-high nine rebounds. She shot 6-16 from the field, and added six steals.
Freshman
Ashley Hill (Covington, Ga.) dropped 15 points with eight rebounds. She was 6-14 from the field.Â
Junior
Kyla Cain (Atlanta, Ga.) came up with eight points and five rebounds.Â
Junior
Jayla Cal (Gilbert, Ariz.) had a season-high seven points while senior
Ashlyn Sheridan (Knoxville, Tenn.) had six points and six rebounds.Â
The Trojans continue their four-game homestand on Saturday, Jan. 10 when they host Tusculum at 2 p.m.Â
