ANDERSON, S.C. -- Franco Antoniolli (Cardoba, Argentina) of men's soccer and Lauren Monday (Anderson, S.C.) of women's soccer have been selected as Anderson University's Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 8.
Antoniolli went 180 minutes without conceding a goal, putting up six saves for two consecutive shutouts. The goalkeeper has aided the No. 4 Trojans to a 3-0-1 start to the season.
Monday contributed to both of Anderson's shutout last week, also tallying a full 180 minutes. She scored the game winner as a defender in AU's victory over Emmanuel.
Each week, student-athletes are honored for his or her performance in competition, classroom or community, being named the Jimmy John's Athlete of the Week.
