ANDERSON S.C. – Anderson women's soccer hosted Emory & Henry for the conference opener on Saturday night, defeating the wasps 3-0 to secure their second straight shutout at home.

Kaitlyn Gregory (Cincinnati, Ohio) connected with the head of senior
Kylie Swanson (Grapevine, Texas) and off the foot of senior
Camryn Woods (Bettendorf, Iowa) to open the scoring just six minutes into the matchup. Sophomore
Ansley Douty (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) converted two penalty kicks, securing the Black and Gold's final two goals of the matchup.
Anderson tallied 19 shots with 11 coming on goal and lead the matchup with nine corners while the Wasps recorded three. Emory & Henry committed 11 fouls on the matchup with two yellow cards.
The Trojans (2-1-1) travel to Morrow, Ga. on Tuesday Sept. 16 for a nonconference matchup against Clayton State.
