Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala.--The No. 4 Trojans (2-0-1) traveled to Alabama on Wednesday evening and are bringing home a 0-0 draw against the Montevallo Falcons (0-1-2).
"I thought we battled hard tonight and in the end, just struggled to break the deadlock," said Head Coach Michael Zion. "They were a really tough opponent and difficult to play against. Even though we wanted more from this game, we keep moving forward. Big game on Sunday!"
In their first scoreless match of the season, Anderson was outshot 11 to nine by the home team, recording only one SOG compared to three by the Falcons. Trojan midfielder Juan Pablo Lepervanche (Caracas, Venezuela) led the offense with four shots, while forward Jonas Zethofer (Vienna, Australia) and midfielder Julian Caro (Medellin, Colombia) each contributed two.
Anderson earned six corner kicks on the night, giving up only two, but the stat line for fouls favored the Falcons, 13 to six.
Franco Antoniolli (Cardoba, Argentina) picked up his first shutout of the 2025 campaign, making three saves in the contest.
The Trojans return home to host Emory & Henry on Sunday (Sept. 14) for the first South Atlantic Conference matchup of the season.
