ROCK HILL, S.C. – The South Atlantic Conference announced the Preseason Coaches' Poll and All-Conference rosters on Tuesday, ranking the Trojans fifth to enter the season.
 
Last season, the Trojans were given the No. 4 spot in the preseason poll, before going 9-7-2 overall and 5-5-1 in SAC play. The Black and Gold finished sixth in regular season play, making their way to the SAC Semifinals. Anderson lost, 1-3, to Lenior-Rhyne University.
 
Along with the rankings, the league also announced the 2025 Preseason All-Conference Team. Earning a First-Team selection for the Black and Gold is sophomore forward Ansley Douty. In her debut season with the Trojans, Douty tallied 16 starts for the Trojans. She helped lead the team with six goals (including three game-winning goals) and three assists for a total of 15 points for the season.
 
Two Trojans were also named Players to Watch as part of the preseason announcement, including senior forward Catherine Nardella and senior defensive Meggie Powell.
 
Nardella started 17 games of Anderson's 2024 campaign, leading the team with seven goals and one assist for a total of 15 points across 1125 minutes of play on the season. Powell started 13 games a recorded 1013 minutes on the field for the 2024 season. She contributed to the Trojans' two shutouts and scored a game-winning goal against a 1-0 shutout against Newberry.
 
Anderson kicks off its 2025 season at home against Montevallo on September 4 at 5 p.m. The Trojans' first SAC game is against Emory & Henry at home on Sept. 13.
