Anderson Women’s Soccer Adds Standout 2025 Class

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University women's soccer program has added eight well-rounded student-athletes for the upcoming 2025 season, announced on Thursday by the Trojans head coach Sarah Jacobs.
 
The Black and Gold welcome: Robbie Gilbert (Greenville, S.C./Hampton Park Christian), Aubrey Hutchins (Harrisburg, N.C./Hickory Ridge), Molly Estes (Charlotte, N.C./Marvin Ridge), Lauren Johnson (Hoschton, Ga./Lanier Christian Academy), Addison Peoples (Pineville, N.C./Clover), Gabrielle Kirchner (Lavallette, N.J./Point Pleasant Beach), Aliyah Morgan (Fort Myers, Fla./George Mason University), and Jazel DeOliveira (Florianópolis, Brazil/Limestone University).
 
"We are excited to welcome our incoming freshmen and transfers to the AUWS family. This class is driven, talented, and hungry to grow.  They bring a fresh energy that will push our standards and strengthen the foundation for our program's future," said Jacobs.
 
The Trojans are slated to open the 2025 season on their home turf Sept. 4 versus Montevallo for the first-ever matchup between the two programs. Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Spero Financial Field.

Name: Robbie Gilbert
High School: Hampton Park Christian
Club: CESA
Height: 5'6"
Position: Defender
Major: Human Development and Family Studies
Hometown: Greenville, S.C.
Accomplishments: Rookie of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, two-time MVP.
Why Anderson: "I wanted a Christian community with a good academic reputation, and I also loved the team when I went to ID camps."
 
Name: Aubrey Hutchins
High School: Hickory Ridge High School
Club: Fox Soccer Academy
Height: 5'5"
Position: Defender
Major: Kinesiology
Hometown: Harrisburg, N.C.
Accomplishments: 2024-2025 All-Conference, All-Region, Team Offensive MVP, 2025 team captain, Greater Metro 4A Conference Champion, Carolina Honors Game Club 2025 Conference Champion.
Why Anderson: "I chose Anderson because of the community. From the first moment I stepped on campus I felt welcome. The team is kind and encouraging and the campus is pretty and not far from my hometown. Anderson is a great place for me academically and a place I could challenge myself to be both a student and an athlete. I love the Christian community and am excited to see how I grow here as both a person and player."

Position: Goalkeeper
Major: Nursing
Hometown: Charlotte, N.C.
Accomplishments: 2024-25 All-Conference, 2025 All-Region, 2024 4A Sportsmanship Award, 2024 4A State Champion, HS Captain, selected for Carolins Soccer Honors All-Star.
Why Anderson: "I chose AU for the close-knit, Christian community, location, and that it gave me the ability to compete at a high level while still getting an amazing education."
 
Name: Lauren Johnson
High School: Lanier Christian Academy
Club: Atlanta Fire United
Height: 5'5"
Position: Forward
Major: Nursing
Hometown: Hoschton, Ga.
Accomplishments: Striker of the Year, All-Region, All-State.
Why Anderson: "I chose Anderson because I value education from a Christian worldview and because of the school's excellent nursing program. I also chose Anderson because of the amazing soccer program and to continue playing the sport I love so much."
 
 
Name: Addison Peoples
High School: Clover High School
Club: Charlotte Soccer Academy

Position: Midfielder
Major: Kinesiology
Hometown: Pineville, N.C.
Accomplishments: 2022-2025 5A All-Region, 2025 Viking Cup All-Tournament Team, 2025 All-State, selected for the 2025 Clash of Carolinas All-Star game, three-time All-Academic, 2024 5A State Champions, 2023-2024 ECNL/RL All-Regional League Carolina Team.
Why Anderson: "I chose Anderson because deep down I believe it is the school for me and is going to shape me into the person I want to be in the future. Apart from the soccer aspect, I believe the education from Anderson really stands out and you only hear good things about the University. The location of Anderson is perfect; it's exactly two hours from my house, allowing me to go home when I'm available to do so. The campus reminds me a lot like home so I'm never too far away."
 
 
Name: Gabrielle Kirchner

Club: Players Development Academy

Position: Midfielder

Accomplishments: ECNL RL All-North Atlantic, NJ All-Shore Conference High School first team, NJ Shore Conference High School All-Division Player of the Year, three-time high school state sectional champion.
Why Anderson: "I chose Anderson because I felt like I belonged here when I walked on campus and loved the team atmosphere. Coach Jacobs and the team made me feel at home. This school will definitely push me to be the best version of myself."
 
 
Name: Aliyah Morgan

Position: Goalkeeper
Major: Business - Accounting
Hometown: Fort Myers, Fla.
Accomplishments: Current Jamacia Senior Women's National Team player, 2023-2024 Gold Cup Qualifier International Caps, North Fort Myers High Most Shutouts School Record (2023) and Most Wins School Record (2023).
Why Anderson: "I chose Anderson for the faith-based community, strong athletic conference, awesome staff, and quality facilities."
 
 
Name: Jazel DeOliveira

Club: Criciúma E.C.
Height: 5'5"
Position: Center back
Major: Digital Media Communications
Hometown: Florianópolis, Brazil
Accomplishments: "Champions of U-20 Campeonato Catarinense, Champions of Joguinhos Abertos of Santa Catarina.
Why Anderson: "From the moment I stepped on campus, it felt like a second home. The people, the environment, and the overall energy made it clear this was exactly where I was meant to be. What I loved most was how the school puts God first, weaving Him into every part of the campus life."
