Skeffington Notches 100th Career Goal As Trojans Top Catawba 18-4

ANDERSON, S.C. -- Eight Trojans got on the board as the squad put up an 18-4 win over Catawba College for their fifth South Atlantic Conference win. They move to 7-5 overall and 5-1 in the SAC with the win. 

Sophomore Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) added another accomplishment to the list, notching her 100th career goal just two games after getting her 100th career point. She finished with three goals on the day.

The Trojans put up 14 goals and held the Catawba Indians to one in the first half alone. They had a season-low seven turnovers and forced a season-high 18. Edie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) had a career-high five caused turnovers with two draw controls and three ground balls. Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) was big on both sides of the ball with four caused turnovers, five ground balls and a career-high six draw controls. 

Muir led the offense as well with a career-high five goals and one assist for a career-high six points. She put away four goals in the first quarter on four shots. 

Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) tied her career-high four goals with one ground ball. 

Ava Scattareggia (Watervliet, N.Y.) buried two goals with one ground ball and one caused turnover.

Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) tacked on one goal, one ground ball, one caused turnover and three draw controls. 

Jackie Tiongco (Memphis, Tenn.) came up with her third goal of the season, two ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Emma Happell (South Hamilton, Mass.) got her first career goal while Jordan Mills (Alpharetta, Ga.) scored her second goal of the season and came up with a career-high three assists.

The Trojans finish out their five-game homestand on Wednesday, April 9th when they host Lenoir-Rhyne University at 4:00 p.m.
