Harrogate, Tenn. – Anderson University's baseball team emerged victorious in the night cap of a doubleheader with the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, April 5.
Game 1: Anderson (S.C.) 3, Lincoln Memorial 10
The first game of the doubleheader saw Anderson University facing a formidable opponent in Lincoln Memorial. Despite a strong start, Anderson struggled to keep up with Lincoln Memorial's relentless offense. The game began with Lincoln Memorial scoring two runs in the first inning, setting the tone for the match. Anderson's B. Harr provided a glimmer of hope with a spectacular three-run homer in the second inning, demonstrating his power at the plate. Z. Stover showed his versatility with a hit, a double, and a stolen base, while D. Bello contributed with a hit and a double. However, Lincoln Memorial's consistent scoring proved too much to overcome, and the final score was 10-3 in favor of Lincoln Memorial.

Undeterred by the first game's outcome, Anderson University came back with renewed vigor in the second game. The team took an early lead, scoring three runs in the first inning, and maintained their advantage throughout the match. Z. Stover played a pivotal role with 2 hits, 3 RBIs, and a home run in the seventh inning, sealing the victory for Anderson with a final score of 8-3. G. Wells contributed significantly with 2 hits and a double, while D. Bello added to the team's success with a hit and an RBI. The pitching performances were equally impressive, with W. Case delivering a solid performance with 4.0 innings, 5 hits, 3 runs, and 4 strikeouts. J. Ingram provided strong relief with 1.1 innings, 2 hits, and no runs, and C.
