GREENEVILLE, TN -- A six-goal second quarter led the Trojans to their third South Atlantic Conference win over Tusculum University 15-11. Anderson moves to 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the SAC with the win.
Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) and
Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) led the Trojans with five points each. Skeffington put away four goals with one assist and was 2-3 in free position goals.
Muir's career-high five points came from three goals and two assists, with a career-high in ground balls with 11 and caused turnovers with six.Â
The Trojans went down 5-3 in the first quarter, with Muir,
MaKayla Ott (Myrtle Beach, S.C.) and Skeffington getting Anderson on the board.
Brooke Kelley (Anderson, S.C.) assisted two of the three early goals and put away her own in the second quarter.Â
Ava Scattareggia (Watervliet, N.Y.) came up with her two goals of the game in the second quarter that the Trojans won 6-2. Skeffington, Muir and
Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) rounded out the second quarter scoring.Â
Skeffington put in her third goal of the day early in the fourth quarter, followed by
Ellie Wilkins (Chuluota, Fla.) and
Emery Robson (Marietta, Ga.) with her first goal of the season and third career goal.Â
Jerianne Morris (New Port Richey, Fla.) got her second goal of the season early in the fourth quarter, with Skeffington and Muir rounding out the scoring.Â
