MONROE, N.C. -- Anderson's men's golf team competed at Wingate's home tournament, the Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate, this week, finishing 5th among 16 teams. Earning their second-best team finish this season, the Trojans carded back-to-back rounds of –2 on opening day, before shooting a +3 third round to conclude the tournament 286-286-291—863(-1). 

The team was led by senior Simon Wright (Lancaster, S.C.), who carded rounds of 72-68-71 for a five-under finish. Wright's score landed him 6th on the player leaderboard of 93 athletes. Senior Jamie Markwick (Bishop's Waltham, Eng.) followed, shooting 67-72-74 and finishing 10th at –3. Rounding out the Top-20 for the Black and Gold was sophomore Luke Sullivan (Columbia, S.C.) who finished 16th overall with rounds of 71-69-75 to end one-under. 

Freshman James Parsons (London, U.K.) and Can Gurdenli (Istanbul, Turkey) also contributed to the team score, finishing +11 and +14 respectively. Competing as individuals for the week, sophomore Sam McMillan (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) and redshirt-freshman Julian Daws (Plettenberg Bay, Z.A.) both concluded the tournament at +8.

The Trojans will compete in LMU's Tennessee River Rumble next week for the final regular season tournament of the 2025 campaign before the SAC Championships mid-April.
