ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University (11-5) baseball team was able to secure two dominant wins over the Senators of Davis & Elkins (1-4) on Saturday, March 1 by scores of 13-1 and 19-2, respectively.
GAME ONE
The Trojans delivered a dominant 13-1 win over Davis & Elkins in the first game of their Saturday doubleheader. The victory, led by a strong performance from pitcher Walker Noland and a power-packed offense, propelled the Trojans to a commanding victory at Anderson Memorial.
Walker Noland (3-1) picked up his third win of the season, tossing six innings of one-run ball, striking out 13, and allowing just six hits. The Trojans' offense erupted for 13 hits, with multiple players contributing to the lopsided scoreline.
Braeden Harrison was a standout performer, going 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBIs, and two runs scored. Dom Bello and Ben Bullard also contributed with impressive solo home runs. Bello's home run came in the third inning, while Bullard's blast added to the Trojans' growing lead in the fifth. Davis & Elkins struggled offensively, managing just one run and six hits. They were led by Zach Calef-Boring, who had a double and a run scored in the first inning. However, the Senators couldn't capitalize on their early momentum, as Anderson's pitching and offense kept them at bay throughout the game.
