ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson University men's track & field team was picked fifth with 103 points in the South Atlantic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll as announced by the conference on Thursday.
 
Wingate notched the top spot in the poll with 10 first-place votes and 131 points while Carson Newman followed closely behind with 110 points to finish second in the poll. Lenoir-Rhyne took third with one first-place vote and tallied 1-9 points. Catawba also received one first-place vote to earn the fourth-place spot with 104 points.
 
Tusculum was tabbed for sixth with 72 points, followed by Mars Hill with 71 points for seventh, and Emory & Henry with 65 points for eighth. Lincoln Memorial tallied 54 points for ninth with Newberry tabbed for the No. 10 spot with 43 points.
 
UVA Wise (No. 11) and Coker (No. 12) received 35 points and 27 points respectively to round out the poll.
 
Elliot Dotson, Lambdin Hardy, Omari Bennett and Avery Butler were each named athletes to watch for the Trojans.
 
The Trojans officially begin the 2025-26 campaign when they take the short trip to Clemson University to compete in the Clemson Opener on Friday, Dec. 4. Results can be found at autrojans.com.
