ANDERSON, S.C.--The No. 6 Trojans (6-0-2, 4-0-2) hosted the Bulldogs (2-6-1, 2-2-1) on Saturday evening and kept their unbeaten streak alive with a 0-0 draw.
Anderson was held scoreless in the contest, but not for lack of trying. The Trojans recorded 11 shots and 12 corner kicks on the night. The match marks only the second time this season AU has gone without finding the back of the net.
The offensive effort was led by Juan Pablo Lepervanche (Caracas, Venezuela) who tallied four shots, two coming on frame. Jonas Zethofer (Vienna, Austria) recorded two shots for two SOG. Of AU's 11 shots, five came on target, forcing five Wingate saves. The Bulldogs tallied seven shots, with only one testing Anderson keeper Franco Antoniolli (Cardoba, Argentina).
Defensively, Anderson didn't allow the Bulldogs a single corner kick and earned their third shutout of the season.
The Trojans continue SAC play next Saturday (Oct. 18), traveling to Coker for a 7:00 PM kickoff.
