ANDERSON, SC – The Trojans came up with a statement win in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-13) sweep over Catawba College (1-7, 0-2 SAC) on Friday night. Anderson moves to 5-5 and 2-1 in the South Atlantic Conference with the road win. 

"Any win on the road in conference is a good win," head coach Todd Hay said. "Our offense got better as the night went on and our errors decreased. Proud of the team and happy to be able to settle back into our normal conference routine after our busy start."

The defense came up clutch for the Trojans in the sweep, especially in set one when the Catawba Indians led in kills but were still unable to get the win. 

It was an all-around impressive offensive performance from Anderson. By the end of the night, the Trojans were swinging at a .320 hitting percentage.

Ava Reeves hit double digits again with 11 kills to lead the team while Jacey Olson, Hannah Neff and Brantley Chipley added seven kills each.

Emily Campbell added six kills and a team-high four blocks.

Ellie Nieporte came up with 31 assists in the short match and 11 digs. 

The Trojans are back home to continue conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 24th when they host Lenoir-Rhyne at 7 p.m.
