SAN ANTONIO, TX -- The volleyball team (4-4, 1-0 SAC) finished out the 2024 Rattler Invitational in style, completing a reverse sweep over hosts St. Mary's in dramatic fashion (13-25, 24-26, 25-14, 25-18, 17-15). Game one of the day was another long battle, going 3-2 to Texas A&M International (25-20, 14-25, 23-25, 25-21, 13-15). The Trojans showed their grit to come back and fight through ten sets on the day and get a win.
"Our young team grew up a little more yesterday," head coach
Todd Hay said. "They have some ups and downs as all younger teams do but what they have most of all is heart. We lost an emotional five set match to Texas A&M International and then had to turn around and play the host, St Mary's. After two sets it wasn't looking promising but they sure responded in a big way. Reverse sweeps are always fun, especially on the road. We look forward to seeing everyone Tuesday night."
