Trojans Get Balanced 107-83 Win Over NCCAA Bob Jones

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans finished the 2024 half of their schedule with a 107-83 win over NCCAA opponent Bob Jones University. Anderson moves to 7-5 overall with their highest scoring win of the season.

"Proud of our team. Always good to go into Christmas break on a high note," head coach Jimmie Williams said. "We moved the ball well against their zone and played unselfish. Cole Middleton set the tone early inside and that opened up good looks for everyone else as they adjusted. Sam Perez played one of his best games of the season tonight on both ends of the floor. Thankful for this team, and I'm glad they'll have some quality time with their family and friends. Really excited about what's ahead in 2025. Merry Christmas to all the Trojans out there. I love this team."

The Trojans exploded to a 20-4 lead in the first seven minutes, going into the locker room with a comfortable 58-26 lead. The Bruins won the second half 57-49 but it wasn't enough to make up for the Trojans' early run.

Anderson won the boards 41-15 with all but three athletes grabbing at least one rebound.

Six Trojans were in double-digits and all but two athletes getting on the board.

Cole Middleton (Atlanta, Ga.) led the way for the Trojans on both ends of the court with 21 points on nearly perfect 10-11 shooting and 12 rebounds for his second double-double of the season. He tacked on five assists, one block and one steal.

Sam Perez (Apex, N.C.) dropped a career-high 19 points on a perfect 8-8 shooting from the field and 3-3 from deep along with five rebounds and two steals.

Austin Webb (South Point, Ohio) netted 16 points and five rebounds.

Sentinel Moore (Oklahoma City, Okl.) also came up with a career-high of 13 points on 6-7 shooting.

Dallas Jones (Gainesville, Fla.) came up with 12 points and four assists while Caleb McAbee (Saint Johns, Fla.) had 10 points and a career-high of both five rebounds and six assists.

Malachi Reeves (Lexington, S.C.) and AJ Wright Jr. (Tampa, Fla.) also dished out five assists, while the team came up with a season-high 31 assists.

The Trojans take a break for the holiday before returning to action on Saturday, Jan. 4 when they head to Emory & Henry University for a 4 p.m. tip-off.
