Puerto Rico- Anderson University women's basketball (8-6) enjoys its largest offensive output of the young season to win its fifth straight game defeating nonconference opponent Catholic University of Puerto Rico, 92-45, on Wednesday afternoon at the Puerto Rico Classic

Jonathon Barbaree. "I really like how we used this trip to work on our defense. Learning to play off each other will help us after Christmas break."
Anderson's strong offensive outing was paired with an impressive defensive effort holding Catholic PR to just 45 points. The Black and Gold out rebounded 53-32 surpassing the 50 rebound mark for the second straight contest.
Senior
Diamond McDowell led all-scorer's with a game-high 22 points. McDowell also ripped down 10 rebounds to record her fifth double-double in a row. Senior
Zamiya Passmore netted 12 points while freshmen
Zaynah Preston and
Rose Gravel contributed 10 points apiece.
Catholic PR's Anahilize Vega scored a team-high 13 points with Mariejoan De Jesús joined Vega in double-digit scoring with 12 points.
Anderson will return to South Atlantic Conference action on January 4
th when it travels to Emory & Henry. Tip-off is slated for 2 pm.
