ANDERSON, SC -- A strong second half led the Trojans to a 71-66 win over UVA Wise to move to 6-5 overall and 3-5 in South Atlantic Conference play. It was a well-rounded win as every Trojan that played got on the board and no one played more than 29 minutes.
"Program win tonight," head coach
Jimmie Williams said. "'The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.' It took everyone. I could not be more proud of how we responded after a few tough losses. I felt our resolve and our belief in huddles. Coming back from down five with under three minutes to go is because our belief never wavered. We learned some valuable lessons in defeat that helped propel us to victory tonight, and that's shows big time character from our guys. I love this team."
