ANDERSON, SC -- Ellie Nieporte of the Anderson University volleyball team and Ansley Douty of the women's soccer team have been named the Jimmy John's Athletes of the Week for the week of October 14th.

Nieporte was named the South Atlantic Conference Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week as well for her performance last week in which she led the Trojans to three more wins, extending their win streak to seven games. Nieporte, a sophomore setter out of Boca Raton, FL put up 134 assists and 11.17 assists per set. She leads the SAC in assists per set with 10.27. She tacked on five blocks, five kills and 28 digs.

Douty had two goals in two games last week, with one against Limestone University and one against Coker University. Douty has five goals on the season.
