HARTSVILLE, SC -- The volleyball team continued their dominant midseason stretch Friday night with a 3-1 win over Coker University by scores of 25-17, 21-25, 25-16 and 25-11. The Trojans winning streak is up to seven straight games and their record sits at 12-7 overall and 8-3 in the South Atlantic Conference.
The Trojan offense got off to a slow start but settled in in the third and fourth sets for an average of .365 and just three errors in each set. Anderson was in complete control of the end of the match, going on a 19-4 run to open the fourth set before taking it 25-11.
The defense showed up with four Trojans in double digits for digs, led by graduate student
Libby Nieporte with a season-high 19 digs and two aces. Senior
Hannah Neff also tacked on 19 digs.

Katy Smith had 16 digs while sophomore
Ellie Nieporte came up with 13 digs and 43 assists.
Sophomore
Ava Reeves led the offense with 12 kills, while sophomore
Emily Campbell and senior
Brantley Chipley added 11 kills each. Campbell swung a .417 with seven digs. Chipley added six blocks.
Sophomore
Karley Black and freshman
Jacey Olsen both had a big night with nine kills each. Black had a .318 hitting percentage while Olson swung a .421.
After three games a week for the past two weeks, the Trojans get a break with a two game week coming up, starting when they host Catawba College on Tuesday, Oct. 22nd at 7 p.m. The Trojans swept the Catawba Indians earlier this season.
