SPARTANBURG, S.C.--Anderson cross country had four individuals competing at the Upstate XC Invite on Saturday morning, all of whom broke their personal records in the race.
"I am super proud of the individuals who raced today," said Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Kevin Eagle. "Every single person ran a personal best today, and it shows the progress that we have made throughout the season. It's a great sign of what is to come as we enter the championship portion of our schedule."
In the women's 5k, sophomore Hannah Williams (Columbia, S.C.) posted a time of 21:23, her best time this season by over a minute.
On the men's side, sophomore Nathan Smith (Danielsville, Ga.) ran 25:40, also besting his other times this season by more than a minute. Junior Dylan Lego (Roebuck, S.C.) finished with a time of 26:32, while junior Marcus Bright (Taylors, S.C.) posted a time of 28:53.
The Trojans look to next week for the start of postseason at the South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships, hosted in Newberry, S.C.
