Men's Lacrosse Defeated by Nationally Ranked Limestone 18-5

GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Anderson University men's lacrosse team was defeated by the 13th nationally ranked Limestone University Saints on Tuesday (Apr. 20) by a score of 18-5 in the SAC tournament quarterfinals.

Isaiah Hines continued his outstanding freshman season by scoring two goals on the afternoon, bringing his season total to 43 which is the second most in the conference. Midfielder Logan Gaddis assisted on a pair of Trojan goals by Ryan Gunderson and Nick Calabrese. Gaddis then scored unassisted in the third period. Goalie Logan Trafton picked up 11 saves and seven ground balls.

"I am proud of how our team competed all year," said coach Albert Mitchell. "I am looking forward to working with this group in the coming seasons as we build on this year's success of reaching the conference tournament as a first-year program."

The Trojans end the season with a 4-10 record, including two wins in a very tough South Atlantic Conference. Isaiah Hines was second in the conference with 43 goals, while Cam Weeks led the SAC with 157 GB's. Goalie Sean Ring ranks fifth in saves with 117.
