ANDERSON, S.C. -- Head Coach Albert Mitchell and the Anderson University Athletics Department have announced the hiring of two new assistant coaches for the men's lacrosse program, Chase Robertson and Brayden Bushnoe, bringing proven leaders to the coaching staff for the Trojans. 

"I am thrilled to announce the promotion of Coach Robertson and the hire of Coach Bushnoe." said Mitchell. "Family and connection is something that we constantly preach and to be able to keep our alumni in the program on a day-to-day basis is incredible. Both were captains, All-Conference and Scholar All-Americans for us; they are an incredible representation of the young men want in this program."

Chase Robertson joins the staff as the defensive and recruiting coordinator for the Black and Gold after spending the past season as a graduate assistant. Robertson was a two-year captain for the Trojans during his illustrious playing career and was named Third-Team All-Conference during his senior campaign. During that same season he was also named a USILA Scholar All-American. He currently sits atop the record books with 68 starts for the Trojans, making his way into the starting lineup for every game of his collegiate career. He also sits third all-time in career caused turnovers with 59.

Brayden Bushnoe will take over the responsibilities of offensive coordinator in his first year as coach with the program. Bushnoe completed his playing career during the 2026 campaign, helping the Trojans to their best ever season with a trip to the NCAA National Semifinals. He served as a captain during his senior season and was named Third-Team All-Conference for his efforts. He was the catalyst for two of the programs biggest wins in history as well, scoring overtime game winners against #13 Limestone in 2023 as well as just this past year against #2 Tampa, dealing the Spartans their only loss of the season. He currently sits sixth all-time in career points for the Trojans with 129.
