Women's Basketball Tabbed Fourth in Southeast Region Media Poll

Box Score

ANDERSON, S.C. - The South Atlantic Conference-leading Anderson University women's basketball team showed little ill effect of suffering its third loss of the season last week, as the Trojans are ranked fourth in the most recent weekly Southeast Region Media Poll, as announced by the regional committee Monday afternoon.

Limestone, which captured three Conference Carolinas' wins last week, continued to hold the top this week, while Peach Belt Conference-member Columbus State vaulted from fifth to No. 2 in the poll following a pair of convincing league victories.

Clayton State (16-3) fell just one spot to No. 3 despite suffering back-to-back road losses in the PBC last week, while AU was fourth. Augusta climbed one spot to No. 5, with Lander jumping three slots to sixth. Francis Marion slid to seventh in the poll after a pair of losses and Carson-Newman remained steady at No. 8.

Georgia College (No. 9) and Wingate (No. 10) rounded out the poll, with Lincoln Memorial and Newberry dropping out of the poll.
