SALISBURY, N.C. - Anderson volleyball (13-2, 7-0 SAC) continued its road swing Friday night, sweeping Catawba College (8-4, 4-4 SAC), 25-19, 25-14, 25-17, for its seventh consecutive South Atlantic Conference win.

The Trojans battled with Catawba in the opening set, taking it 25-19. Anderson hit .424 in the second set to cruise to a 25-14 win before holding the Catawba Indians to a .059 hitting percentage in the third set to complete the sweep, 25-17. The victory marked Anderson's ninth sweep of the season.

Senior Emily Campbell (Statesville, N.C.) led the team with 11 kills and two solo blocks. Senior Ava Reeves (Lexington, S.C.) chipped in nine kills, while sophomore Mikaylah Hedlund (Fountain Inn, S.C.) and senior Karley Black (Leander, Texas) both contributed seven. 

For the second time this week, senior Ellie Nieporte (Boca Raton, Fla.) posted a double-double with 32 assists and 11 digs. Sophomore Jamie Juhnevicz (Taylors, S.C.) led the team with four service aces, while Reeves, junior Tara Wheeler (Greenville, S.C.), and sophomore Kaleigh Garren (Anderson, S.C.) each added two. 

"Pretty complete game in a lot of areas," said head coach Todd Hay. "We need to be better on our bump sets and any sets from the back row, but we can work on that. We did a good job of slowly building a lead and holding it. Serving was better tonight than on Tuesday, so that was good to see. Road wins are always a challenge, and it felt good to get this and not have a let-down after Tuesday. Really proud of the team for how they performed tonight." 

The Trojans are back on the road, Tuesday, Sept. 29, to take on Lenoir-Rhyne University at 6 p.m.
