ANDERSON, S.C. – Anderson University Women's Soccer (5-2, 3-0 SAC) remains unbeaten at home after striking twice in a 2-0 shutout of fellow South Atlantic Conference opponent Carson-Newman (4-3, 1-2 SAC) Saturday evening.

The contest was physical in favor of Carson-Newman with the Eagles committing ten fouls while Anderson tallied three.
Anderson's defense proved too much for the Eagles to crack with Anderson's senior goalkeeper
Aliyah Morgan (Fort Myers, Fla.) continuing her stellar stretch in goal. The Fort Myers native anchored her third consecutive 2-0 shutout at home with five saves on the evening.
DeOliveira led the Black and Gold offensively with two shots, both of which found the target, while Gregory also finished with a perfect shooting percentage after going 1-for-1 on shots on goal.
Anderson remains home on Wednesday, Sept. 23 when they host nationally ranked No. 8 Catawba in a South Atlantic Conference finals rematch. The contest is slated for 5 p.m. on Spero Financial Field.
