Late Equalizer Secures 2-2 Draw for No. 16 Trojans

EMORY, Va. — The No. 16 Anderson University men's soccer team played Emory & Henry to a 2-2 tie Tuesday. Luis Munoz scored in the 85th minute of the second half to equalize, as the Trojans scored both of their goals after halftime.

Jonas Zethofer scored on his only shot, putting his attempt on goal. Munoz also scored on his lone shot, finishing with an unassisted goal that was marked as game-tying. Jace Hicks recorded AU's assist. Asher Risell played all 90 minutes in goal and finished with four saves.

The Trojans fell behind early when Michael Nduka scored for E&H in the 3rd minute. The Black and Gold held the margin at 1-0 through five E&H corners and a shot over the next 12 minutes, and Risell later saved Matheus De Araujo Pinto's attempt in the 26th minute. De Araujo Pinto scored in the 37th minute, leaving AU down 2-0 at halftime.

The Trojans erased a 2-0 deficit in the second half, getting a goal in the 53rd minute from Zethofer off Hicks' assist and a late Munoz equalizer in the 85th minute to make it 2-2. Risell made three saves after Zethofer's goal, and AU also put shots from Raul Perez and Kaiden Smith on frame before Munoz scored. The match finished tied 2-2.
