Trojans Score Season-High 22 Goals In Senior Day Win Over Emory & Henry

ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans honored their inaugural recruiting class on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon with a season-best 22-5 win over Emory & Henry (4-12, 1-8 SAC). Anderson moves to 10-6 overall and 7-2 in the South Atlantic Conference with the win. 

"Proud of this group for an incredible senior day win," head coach Nicole Voci said. "There is no better way to honor the class that started this program from the ground up. We will enjoy the win and look forward to our final conference matchup on Wednesday!"

Twelve Trojans got on the board with seven scoring two or more goals. They were led by sophomore Ava Scattareggia (Latham, N.Y.) who tied her career-high of four goals with one assist for five points. 

Junior Ava Skeffington (Charlotte, N.C.) got her eighth hat trick of the season with three goals.

Sophomore Megan Muir (Bedford, N.H.) had another dominant day with two goals and one assist. She had a season-high six ground balls and a season-best five caused turnovers. She also grabbed two draw controls.

Senior Megan Cann (Rancho Murieta, Calif.) had a season-best of two goals with two ground balls and two draw controls to celebrate her Senior Day.

Junior Emma Toole (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.), junior Rayne Dobson (Houston, Texas) and freshman Alannah Bowling (Richmond Hill, Ga.) all added two goals of their own.

Freshman Chloe Jones (Suwanee, Ga.) had her best day at the draw with a career-high of eight draw controls and got on the board with one goal.

Sophomore Jordan Mills (Alpharetta, Ga.) came up with a season-best three points with one goal and two assists. 

Junior Emma Happel (South Hamilton, Mass.) scored her first goal of the season while junior Jerianne Morris (New Port Richey, Fla.) rounded out the scoring for the Trojans. 

Seniors Jackie Tiongco (Memphis, Tenn.) and Alexis Lopos (Farmingdale, N.Y.) were big on defense with Tiongco grabbing two ground balls and a season-high four caused turnover with one draw control and Lopos picking up a season-high three ground balls and one caused turnover.

The Trojans finish out the regular season on Wednesday, April 22 when they take on UVA Wise on the road at 3 p.m.
