CHAMPIONSHIP BOUND! Trojans Halt Railsplitter’s Late Rally for Ticket to SAC Championship

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University Men's Basketball (28-2, 20-2 SAC) notched its third ticket in program history to the South Atlantic Conference Championship match after narrowly defeating the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters (19-11, 14-8) in a chilling 66-61 Semifinal victory Friday evening.

"Love is action." said head coach Jimmie Williams. "Our guys gave everything they had tonight and had eachothers back out there. Our connection was out competitive advantage."

The Trojans rallied early, surging past the Railsplitters with an 8-0 run at the start. The Black and Gold tallied a 10-point lead in the first ten minutes of play, retaining a large gap for the duration of the half. Coming out of the break, the Trojans caught fire from the floor with a 7-2 run, boasting a 13-point lead with 17 minutes until the final buzzer.
