Box Score ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans battled to a 4-2 win over Francis Marion on Saturday afternoon to remain undefeated.
The Trojans overcame the lost doubles point, but junior
Gigi Sompayrac (Knoxville, Tenn.) and freshman
Kate Johnson (Isle of Palms, S.C.) earned a 6-0 win at the No. 2 spot.
Sompayrac also earned the win at the No. 1 spot in singles, with 6-1 and 6-3 victories.
Sophomore
Ensley Collins (Cleveland, Tenn.) came up with a 6-1 and 6-0 win at court No. 3.
Sophomore
Mara Opre (Atlanta, Ga.) earned 6-4 and 6-2 wins at No. 4.
Freshman
Kate Johnson rounded out the points for the Trojans, getting the fourth win at singles with 6-0 and 6-2 wins at No. 6.
The Trojans are back in action three times next week beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 24 when they head to Piedmont University at 1 p.m.
