With a new era underway, the 2026-27 season awaits an exciting opportunity for the Trojans. Under the direction of the first-year head coach, Anderson is eager to embrace the opportunity to build something new, with just two returners from last season's historic team leading the way and a newly renovated home court.
The Black and Gold open the 2026-27 campaign at home when they meet with Moorehouse College for the first time in program history on Nov. 9. Anderson will then take the short trip to Newberry, S.C. to take on nonconference opponents Erskine and Belmont Abbey in the SAC / Conference Carolinas Challenge hosted by Newberry College on Friday, Nov. 13 and Saturday, Nov. 14.

Anderson then hops on the road for a two-game series including Mars Hill on Saturday Dec. 5 and nonconference opponent Francis Marion on Tuesday, Dec. 8
"Morehouse will be a great test for our guys with them coming off a conference championship, trip to the NCAA Tournament, and 20-win season." Added Thompson. "We have also scheduled rivalry games against Belmont Abbey, Clayton State, Erskine, and Francis Marion that will help us prepare for conference play as well."
The Trojans return home on Saturday, Dec. 12 to face Carson Newman followed by a mid-day contest against Newberry on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
