Four Trojans Named Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

NORMAN, Okla.--Cobalt Golf announced their 2024-25 NCAA Division II All-America Scholars on Tuesday afternoon, honoring four of Anderson's men's golf athletes. 

To receive the honor, athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and athletically, must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds for the season, must have a stroke average under 78.0, and must hold a cumulative career GPA of a 3.2 or higher. 

Earning the recognition for the Trojans are seniors Simon Wright (Lancaster, S.C.) and Jamie Markwick (Bishop's Waltham, Eng.) and sophomores Sam McMillan (Mount Pleasant, S.C.) and Can Gurdenli (Istanbul, Turkey). 

207 NCAA DII athletes were honored from 78 schools across the country. Anderson was one of 17 schools with four recipients.
