BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- Senior Zoey Iglesias (Port St. Lucie, Fla.) fired an opening round 67 to find herself atop the individual leaderboard on her way to helping the No. 1 Anderson University women's golf team to a tie for first as well after day one of the NCAA Division II National Championships.

The Trojans finished the round eight-under par as a team, sitting tied for first with California State San Marcos. Iglesias is tied for first individually with Torrie Bowman from CSU East Bay.

In addition to Iglesias, juniors Aly Francis (Stockbridge, Ga.) and Kennedy Gooding (Lexington, S.C.) both shot under par rounds with Francis carding a 69 and Gooding posting a 71. Junior Paige Paolucci (Blythewood, S.C.) finished one-over on the day while senior Kennedy McGaha (Honea Path, S.C.) rounded out the scoring for the Trojans with a 74.

The Trojans continue their trek towards the medal match play section of the championships as they tee-up for the second round at 7:30 a.m. PT on Wednesday morning.
