ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University softball junior pitcher Katie Morris earned South Atlantic Conference Second Team, released by the league office on Thursday.

Morris (16-9-3) ranked second in the SAC with an ERA of 2.50, second in total strikeouts with 139, tied for third with three saves and fourth in overall wins with 16. The native of Valley, Ala., pitched a total of 156.2 innings and threw 17 complete games, including seven shutouts.

Anderson returns to action as they earned the No. 6 seed and will travel to No. 3 Lincoln Memorial to play a three-game series. Game one is slated for Saturday at 4pm with game two scheduled for 1pm on Sunday. The 'If' game, will be played immediately following game two. The winner will advance to the championship series scheduled May 1st- 3rd at the highest seeds remaining.
