AUGUSTA, Ga. — Anderson University softball (28-22) dropped a pair of nonconference games losing game one, 3-0, and falling, 7-0, in the nightcap on Tuesday afternoon at Jaguar Field.
In game one, Anderson was held to three singles, two of them by sophomore
Paige Vickery. Junior
Katie Morris (16-9) took the loss, allowing one run over 2.2 innings.
In game two, the Trojans managed just one hit — a single by senior
Maddie Carpenter. Starting pitcher
Anna Grace Clay (1-2) took the loss, allowing 11 hits and seven runs (only two earned) over six innings.
The Black and Gold will now turn their attention to the South Atlantic Conference Tournament which begins Friday. Anderson will travel to Lincoln Memorial to play in a best of three series. First pitch Friday is slated for 4 pm.
