DUNCAN, S.C. - Anderson University Softball (8-6) bounced back against Converse (4-10) after dropping game one, 11-2 (5) and taking the nightcap, 7-6, on Tuesday afternoon at Tyger River Park.
Converse outhit the Trojans, 11-2, to start the day off scoring three runs in the first, seven in the fifth and a lone run in the sixth to set its run total at 11.Anderson produced a single run in both the first and second innings.
The Valkyries took the early lead in game two with the Black and Gold falling behind 6-3 after four innings of play. However, AU responded with four runs over the fifth and sixth frames to take the lead for good to avenge the game one setback.Â

Paige Vickery each collected two hits apiece with Bandt and Brakovec hitting doubles. Senior

Carson Hobbs (2-1) earned her second straight win coming into the game in relief. Hobbs pitched the final three innings giving up two hits and striking out four.
Anderson returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Lees-McRae. First-pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 1 pm and 3 pm. Saturday's contest has been designated as Miltiary Appreciation Day.
