ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Trojans got back in the win column Saturday afternoon with a statement 90-56 win over Mars Hill University, avenging the 81-77 loss they suffered to the Lions earlier this season. The Trojans move to 13-11 overall and 9-11 in the South Atlantic Conference.
"Today was about defense and taking care of the ball," head coach
Jimmie Williams said. "Mars Hill creates a lot of turnovers and they have players that are tough to guard. Proud of our attention to detail in the scout and the focus on ball security."
The Trojans dropped 45 points in both halves and shut the Lions down in the second, going on a 16-0 run and holding them to just 22 points.Â
AJ Wright Jr. (Tampa, Fla.) led the scoring iwth 14 points, seven assists and four rebounds.
Malachi Reeves (Lexington, S.C.) and
Cole Middleton (Atlanta, Ga.) dropped 13 points each while Middleton added a team-high nine rebounds.Â
James Repass (Jacksonville Beach, Fla.) tied his career-high with 12 points in just 11 minutes of play, going a perfect 6-6 from the field.
Sam Perez (Apex, N.C.) was the final Trojan in double digits with 11 points on three triples, six rebounds and four assists.Â

The Trojans are back in action on Wednesday, Feb. 19th at 7:30 p.m. when they host conference rival Wingate University.Â
