ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University Athletic Department kicks off another season of competition as the 2024 campaign for the fall sports starts on Thursday, September 5 culminating with the first-ever football game at Anderson against St. Andrews on Saturday, September 7 at 1:00 p.m.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5, 2024 

Women's Soccer

USC Aiken holds a slight 6-4 advantage over the Trojans, however the Black and Gold have won the past three match ups. The last meeting between the two schools was on the Trojans home pitch on September 10, 2021 with AU defeating the Pacers, 1-0.

The Trojans open the 2024 campaign on Thursday night, hosting nationally ranked No. 11 Barry, preseason favorites to win the Sunshine State Conference. Anderson is 1-1 all-time versus the Buccaneers, with last year's contest being a 3-2 Trojan victory on the road against then-ranked No. 3 Barry. In 2022, the last time the Black and Gold welcomed the Bucs to South Carolina, the Bucs took a 3-2 win home to Florida.

The Trojans kick off their 2024 season at the Ray Thrasher Volleyball Classic hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University. They will open the tournament against Quincy University in what will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
Alabama-Huntsville handed Anderson one of their few losses last season in a five-set thriller and will be another good match up for the Trojans to start the season off.

Men's Cross Country

Anderson's men's cross country team kicks off their 2024 season in Spartanburg, competing at the Eye Opener, hosted by USC Upstate. Picked to finish third in the South Atlantic Conference, the Trojans enter the season with a competitive and healthy lineup.

The Trojans open their inaugural campaign against the Knights who finished off the 2023 season with an 0-10 record, averaging just 8 points a game while giving up 48. They dropped their opening contest of 2024 to Erskine last week 52-0.
