Box Score DAHLONEGA, GA. – Anderson University women's soccer (1-1) relinquished three second half goals to drop nonconference conference match, 3-0, against opponent North Georgia (1-1) on Saturday evening at Lynn Cottrell Park.
"We were tested by a good team today," said head coach Sarah Jacobs. "We will learn from this as we prepare for conference games where we will face a similar level of talent."
The first half of action ended in a 0-0 draw with the Nighthawks outshooting Anderson, 7-2. North Georgia was on target on four occasions while the Trojans had one shot on goal. Trojan starting keeper Jeanette Campbell was credited with four saves.
The second half saw more action between the posts for the Nighthawks as North Georgia scored its first goal in the 49th minute and goal number two in the 53rd minute of play. North Georgia capped off the evening with a goal in the final second of the match.
On the night, North Georgia outshot Anderson 21-5 with 14 of UNG's shots coming on goal.
Anderson replaced Campbell in favor of sophomore Macy McDufford in the second half action of play. McDufford suffered the loss while recording six saves.
The Black and Gold return home to square off with nonconference opponent Shorter on Wednesday. Kick-off is slated for 5 pm.
